Statement: 

CorpsCellule | 6616 is an ongoing cycle of work that explores the intimacies, the sublime and the visceral grotesque found in the coupling of the body(ies) and technology, conducted by artists Fiona Annis and Jason Knight.

Fiona Annis | BFA Concordia University, MRes The Glasgow School of Art
Fiona Annis is a visual artist and researcher at the Glasgow School of Art. Based between Glasgow and Montréal, her practice includes installation, print media and curation, with a focus on the notions of co-culture, the control inherent in care, and the coupling of body(ies) and technology in the contemporary art context. Fiona is currently exploring a new cycle of work, CorpsCellule, in collaboration with JPC/K.

Jason Knight | BFA U of C, MFA York University, SymbioticA Research Fellow
Jason Knight is a Montréal based artist working with digital and biologic technologies of the body. Knight's work explores authority and control structures through diverse media emphasizing social and political criticism. A co-founder of the artist collectives CorpsCellule and Biotekica which have been exhibited, performed and published internationally. Research work has been undertaken at The Banff Centre for the Arts and SymbioticA: The Art and Science Collaborative Laboratories.
