Jen Reimer
Jen Reimer is a Montréal-based sound artist, composer and performer. Her work explores sound mass, resonance and urban soundscape through site-specific creation, composition, improvisation and performance. She has created and presented numerous performances in abandoned and public spaces around Montreal.
She received a Bachelor of Music in performance in horn and composition from the University of Alberta, was an artist in residence at The Banff Centre for the Arts and received a Graduate Diploma in music performance studies from Concordia University, Montréal.
She has performed in various international festivals including Montréal Highlights Festival, Suoni per Il Popolo (Montréal), Howl Concert Series (Montreal, QC), 2nd Annual Performance Art Festival (Athens, GR), Pop Montréal, Crossing Border Festival (Den Haag, NE), Culture Collide Festival (Los Angeles, CA) and Nuit Sonores (Lyon, FR).
Jen is a research assistant at matralab, Concordia University and co-runs an artist collective called Noisy Kitchen with Lisa Gamble.
