Jhave
David Jave Johnston is a professional multi-media poet currently living in Montreal. Among other artistic activities, he has participated in two digital Biennales (Montreal 2002,Toronto TanzTech 2003), exhibited site-specific installations with the Symbiosis Collective, written and directed multi-media theatre with the Collective Unconscious Collective, recorded spoken-word electronica for the now-defunct underground ZOI label, contributed to a CD-ROM project entitled Navigateur, modified video in Transmedia 2002-3 festivals, and comleted a music video for Brian Sanderson. He speaks regularly at conferences on web art.
In 2001, Jhave returned to school to pursue a degree in computer science at Concordia University's Digital Image and Sound Program. Graduate in April 2004.
Recent work includes a commission for Turbulence.org and digital design for Bioteknica.
