Statement:
Luna Allison has been sneaking poetry onto napkins since she was 13 years old. When her excruciating shyness started to recede in her early twenties, she began performing these ditties around Montreal and has been doing it ever since. Her work is an eclectic cross-genre mix - part dramatic monologue, part comedy sketch, part jazz-poetry - that speaks to the ups and downs of city living. Her first recording, Urban Lullabies, has been released on the Wired on Words imprint. Luna is also a freelance journalist and editor, with work appearing in ascent magazine and the Hour. She enjoys food fights, high winds and the linguistic schizophrenia of Montreal.
