Message to Popstart Members

Hello Dear Popstart Members,

As you probably are already aware of, we are currently working on continued site upgrades, giving the RAIQ site more capacity to house information of interest to the inter-arts community. We are very much looking forward to bringing you an even more dynamic and content-rich resource!

Since 2005, the RAIQ has covered the costs associated with the maintenance of the Popstart website as well. However, with these current upgrades to the RAIQ site, we are seeing that it will no longer be possible to maintain the twin sites for the RAIQ and for Popstart. What’s more, Popstart isn’t actually a separate organization, but in fact a pan-Canadian networking project being supported directly through the RAIQ.

As the RAIQ wishes to keep Popstart going, we have decided to include Popstart as a page of the RAIQ site. What this means is that RAIQ members (automatically registered with Popstart) will also appear in the Popstart page, part of the database of this pan-Canadian network. As for artists who previously opened accounts and created profiles in Popstart, your profiles will continue to be accessible on the site, but you will no longer be able to update them – unless you become a member of the RAIQ.

Becoming a member of the RAIQ only takes a few moments; simply fill out the form attached and return it with your payment. Or you can complete the registration form online and pay your fee via Paypal. Artists from outside of Quebec are invited to become affiliated members.

And becoming a member of the RAIQ is enthusiastically encouraged. By joining the RAIQ you directly participate in strengthening the only association in Quebec and Canada dedicated to defending the interests, and development, of interdisciplinary arts.
