Mikiki

Mikiki / Mike Hickey is a non-disciplinary artist working predominantly in performance and video and is interested in community-based practices. His recent work has dealt with public health/sex/art in relation to our indentity construction. He has studied at Concordia and NSCAD for a BFA and has shown work through Artist-Run Centres, Public Galleries and self-produced interventions across the country. Mikiki was the former director at TRUCK in Calgary and programming coordinator at Eastern Edge Gallery in St.John's. Mikiki has been working in sexual and reproductive health and wellness in the recent past in Calgary and Ottawa where he currently lives.
