Jackson Couse is a visual artist from Ottawa, Ontario. He holds a diploma in photography from Algonquin College. Couse’s photography presents a form of aesthetic journalism or concerned art. His work is a participatory investigation of the relationships of people, place, labor and identity.

A selection of works from Couse’s series Playing House are included in the international exhibition Bodies in Trouble, currently on display at Galerie SAW Gallery in Ottawa. A Bodies in Trouble exhibition catalogue will be published in September 2010 as part of Festival X.

In June of 2010, Couse completed a residency in the Photography and Digital Imaging Program at DAÏMÕN. During this residency he finished production for his first solo exhibition, Relocation, on display at the DAÏMÕN Studiõ from September 22nd to October 10th, 2010.
