253469 is not ruled by commerce, academia, politics or common sense. The artist project 253469 began in 2009 and has created opportunities for collaboration and participation in short art films, live performance, experimental theatre, audio, screenings, exhibitions and installations with artists pursuing experimental and avant-garde work. Based in Toronto, the 253469 project has worked with such artists as Maggy Perry, Art Szombarthy, Ullysses Castellanos, Eugénie Cliche, Istvan Kantor, Jubal Brown, Brooke Stubbings, William Davison, Christina Kozak and Henry "Banger" Benvenutti.

Fondé en 1984, le 3e impérial, centre d'essai en art actuel allie à la résidence d'artiste, la production, la diffusion et la mise en contexte de l'art actuel sur un territoire signifiant tout en favorisant l'émergence de nouvelles pratiques d'art public qui infiltrent l'environnement géographique et social.
