Performance Art 1, with Sylvie Tourangeau
October 21 to 23, 2011
This workshop will focus on practice with an emphasis on the particularities of each participant. Jointly, the workshop facilitator and participants will deepen their understanding of the notions of connection and motivation. Further emphasis will be placed on becoming better acquainted with one’s own body, and the body’s inherent transformative ability, the movement of multiple references, and the presence of the performer as a catalyst in creating and transforming meaning.

Performance Art 2, with Sylvie Tourangeau
November 25 to 27, 2011
This workshop will highlight the uniqueness of each participant's practice in order to help build performative structures that correspond with one’s personal process of creation. The workshop will offer new working tools while raising the consciousness of the artist in relation to his or her practice.

This workshop is designed to jump-start creative approaches to the use of video in performance. Lawson and Pollard introduce participants to an imaginative toolset that includes some high-tech and some very low-tech solutions to common problems.

Composing With What is There, with Sylvie Cotton
January 20 to 22, 2012
Continually investigating one’s perception of (and place in) the world, every artist needs "food" to keep nourishing the philosophical and personal/existential research that essentially is the work that an artist does – and what the artist offers out to the world. Through a variety of exercises and creative activities, this workshop will focus on the practice of synchronizing the body and the spirit.
